The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are a new kind of item that provides a boost to your stats. These can be used to upgrade armor, trinkets and weapons.
Upgrades to items use a system called "upgrade pity" to determine probabilities. This system is designed to limit the chances of losing and provide an adequate safety net when upgrading.
Armor
The item upgrader lets players upgrade the level of their equipment for their trinkets, armor, and weapons. The upgrades are applied to the gear by visiting an item upgrader NPC with appropriate currencies. When you upgrade an item, it will improve the stats of that item.
This NPC can be found in all major cities and is located in the corner of the city square, near a teleport point. The NPC can upgrade any weapon, armor, or trinket except for those that require a quest or crafting.
Note: The item you use to apply an upgrade is a consumable item for the duration of time. There are no multiple upgrades applied to one piece of equipment; trying to apply an upgrade using one that has already been applied will cause the previous upgrade to be overwritten.
Upgrading your equipment is a great way to maximize the use of your gear, and increase your damage, survivability and overall power. If you own Benthic gear that was obtained from the War Within Mythic Dungeon it will be at level 385 and can be upgraded using [Prismatic manapearls]. Upgrades to your PvE gear are available to all accounts. Upgrades to your PvP equipment require the use of a specific currency, such as [Valorstones] and [Harbinger Crests(Harbinger Crests). The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade any additional gear in an armor slot decreases after the initial upgrade.
Weapons
Weapons are an essential part of any successful character. They can be used to stop the wrathful monster, take down an intruder or compete in a target shooting contest. Or they can simply hang on the wall. Whatever way you decide on using a particular weapon, you should keep in mind that it's possible to upgrade it and will evolve depending on your style of play.
Upgrades to weapons can be made by visiting a blacksmith shop that has a Weapon Workbench available. The Blacksmith Hewg, which is located in the right-hand section of the Roundtable Hold hub, is a great choice to upgrade your main weapon. If you attempt to apply an upgrade to a weapon that has another upgrade applied it will fail and the weapon will be reverted to its original ilvl.
Upgrades do not just increase the item level but also provide additional stats which can be used to boost its power. Some of these upgrades will be purely passive while others may provide increased damage, faster attack speed and increased range, or a greater strike chance.
Some weapons can be upgraded to a higher level using an Ashes of War weapon, which is rewarded for beating certain bosses in raids. Whetblades are rare items that unlock new Affinities for weapons.
After a weapon has been fully upgraded, a player can continue to upgrade it as long as he/she has the appropriate upgrade materials and currency. It's important to know that weapons can only be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 25. As a result, players should only upgrade their weapons after they've obtained the maximum number of upgrades from regular and Whetblade items.
Trinkets
The Trinkets can provide a range of Boosts. They can be upgraded just like other equipment through interaction with an Item Upgrader NPC.
You can find an item upgrade r in the town of Stardew Valley. To use it, first you must un-equip any weapons or armor. The NPC will then appear with the red banner "Equiped" over his head.
